Nigel posted the following on Total Fishing last night....
Quote:
i have taken out the pegs in the teens, that have been winning the matches with 60 to 80lb recently. I have put a club match on those pegs (1 to 30) and put our match on the rest of the lake.
That leaves us with 94 pegs, and 60 to 65 anglers, so we will be fishing 2 pegs miss one, to give us a little more room.
Starting at peg 32 going into the deep corner (14 foot) and going along the far bank, and back up the road bank. Most pegs are 4 foot, some around 6 foot, and a few deep pegs in the corner, that are fishing well, i fished it last week.
Taking out the fliers, will give us a good fair match, and could be won from anyware, it will be a better match rather than thinking your out of it after the draw!
1, 2 or 3 lines are the way to fish, a pole line, a feeder line and a method line.
The margins are not too good, and fishing shallow here wont work either.
Pellet or worm and caster on the pole for skimmers and small carp. Feeder for the same, and method for big carp to 20lb, but bigger fish are rarer, so its sh.. or bust doing that!
Breakfast will be available from 7am, and we have a BBQ after at the clubhouse.
