Additional intersite challenges
With the intersite series only consisting of the four matches - is there scope for additional regional challenges, don't suppose it has to involve all the forums - just those that want to take part. Would be nice to have something going on each month rather than waiting for a long time between matches.

There is supposed to be a Eastern leg but theres not been any put their head above the parapet and organise one for two years, the Western leg was cancelled late on this year due to lack of support, along with those that have taken place this year that would take it to six matches, wether there is any mileage in running matches on a regional individual basis is perhaps one that could be looked at, but would we end up with a lot of 15 to 20 peg matches, believe me to get 60 out on the forth comming individual has took a bit of pushing and shoving.

Yes Brian thats what I am on about - alot of smaller 20 peg matches between the sites on a regular basis to keep the interest up and allow more members of the site to have a chance to fish.

I would be happy to organise one for next year as long as i could choose a venue around the sleaford area in lincs. Is it a question though of lack of anglers in the east or apathy, either way is it a non starter.

Think the first thing is a lack of anglers in and around the east of the country, previous matches have been at Barford nr Norwich there were enough ringers fishing the last one to have rung the bells at Westminster Abbey. I think the venue needs to be around the Peterborough - Cambridge area to do any good.

A venue i would have in mind is willow lakes at foston bang on the A1 about 4 miles north of grantham, easy to get to. However from what you say there aren't enough anglers in the area.

Steve, if you investigate dates then I am sure we can drum up interest from here and other forums.
