Indeed he did and got them a single point that pushed them into first spot, very good of him considering the flak he got for the pegs. Just shows that some can rise above the adversity and make the effort to help those in need.

A great day out, although for some the the fishing was extremely difficult off featureless pegs. The carp didn,t want to come out to play. I met some new faces. The guy to my right, Richie Dell struggled right to the death but was rewarded with an 11lb fish, that was his PB. He was a great bloke, we had the craic for a solid 5 hours. The guy to my left hooked 8 zoo creatures and landed 1. Almost managed to take one of the Blue Lias bar staff to the other side of the universe and back,. I,m gonna say nowt about T.F recruiting one of our "STAR" performers so they could steal the honours eh Bri!! Good day, good effort, welldone Brian. I thoroughly enjojed myself.
OH YES!!!.

Yup, I met a few new faces. I'm just sorry I didn't do better (I only started to catch fish in the last hour!) but I had a fantastic time and met some great guys!

A thousand apologies for ending up for fishing for the winning team and providing TF with that one point they needed to beat Talk Angling, having decided on Friday that Bonehillstar would take my place I was more than happy to be the runner for ourselves and to perhaps have 2 or 3 hours pleasure fishing, unfortunately TF were one man short at the time of the draw and within the spirit of the intersite I agreed to fish for them, unfortunately on my very first chuck with the method feeder the tip goes round and drop back ah well thinks me that ok reels in with apparently nowt on the end to find a tiny rudd had impaled itself so that one point was secured. After that I suppose I was fishing to win the match, ok you clever guys we know that was not on I was re-soundly beaten by my travelling partner Bonehillstar and Mark Gee fishing for AF. I must say that it was nice to meet some new faces both from this site and others.
TA put up a great performance many off some tough pegs especially those at the far end of the water you lads did the site proud and that half a point deficit is not beyond us pulling back over the next 3 intersite matches.
