you can still have fun and compete. you can still come last and enjoy yourself
if the match was purely about winning then why would anyone travel hundreds of miles to fish a venue they haven't seen before against top locals. for five hours you try to catch as much from your peg you can but the day starts before the first whisle and finishes well after the last . take on board the whole experience and the pleasure extracted wont be related soley to your weight. we are all a long time dead.

Now THAT has got to be the best posting on here! I used to do the disabled match circuit, but decided I was wasting too much time not enjoying myself.
I go to a match to enjoy myself and MEET people! Winning,whilst important, is not paramount!
Whether I get 2lb or 200lb in the net, the important thing is to have a good time! Of course catching a shedload of fish is better than blanking, but the main thing is do your best! and enjoy!

The funny thing is, the more you relax and fish, the more you catch!

See the drowners have had 3 withdrawals from their team today which is a disgrace really. Might be a few empty pegs tommorrow.

Not that bad Paul as it's only a day out fishing.

The intersites are nothing like they were when we first started them up, remember back then it was a case of information freely passed around on all forums regards venues without the crap and blatent lies or sealed secrets that gets posted these days.

They were originaly about FUN & MEETING people from the net now all most want is to win and be as miserable as possible, thats why i've no interest in them these days and this will be the last 1 i'm involved in.

I go fishing these days to have a laugh and get away from the serious cr@p so dont want to be sat next to a miserable sod all day as most on the intersites are now (not all though as i've met and made some good friends over the years through them)
