I suppose the picking of teams crops up every year. So why not do things on a points basis from the word go. e,g For 2 anglers in the first selection that effectivly come last in the team/ competition, these would effectivly make way for 2 other anglers. Do not allow any angler the opportunity of fishing more than 2 team matches in a row regardless of perfomance and this will allow other anglers a bite of the cherry.
Insist on anglers booking on by a predetermined date only if they,re absolutley sure they can fish, This will give the organizers/captains a real chance of making positive arrangments and supplying the "team" with the relevant info. Drawing from hats can have its disadvantages depending on numbers, in as much as for example i,ve been in a hat at work for the last 6 years and my name hasn,t been pulled out once,. If you,re an angler wanting to fish then thats very disappointing.
Please dont go off on one half cocked, this is merely an attempt at giving constructive advice and giving everyone a fair go,. "Its just a sugestion"
