its only a decline in the amount of anglers in your clubs..... cars were not so common then we all used to go on sharabang...people will always fish even if theres only one fish in the water....Mr Harrhy would have to buy over 300 nets even at a£10 each thats £3000.. take a long time to get that back if he could get them at a tenner who knows

Not wishing to prolong the debate, which is the best that its been on this site, but and heres the but , Geoff you say the EA are the people that know, well they might know but they dont tell, just read the Email that the EA sent to you, it is nothing short of an opinion, in actual fact the person that sent it used the words IN MY OPINION I am afraid that is not even an EA statement.
Whilst the EA has a role to play they do tend to be driving from the back seat of a very long bus.
There were 26 cases of KHV last year have you seen a list of where they occured because I have not, even searches of the web provide little or no information on them, the only place I have found any info is web based forums, the excuses last year was that it was not a reportable disease and it would effect the livelyhood of the commercials if they announced where.

Default Khv

I agree with you Brian, it been a good debate and thats why most of us use Talk angling, i can only put my side to the forum but do also take on board other. but this is what he put My personal advise is NO do not fish while it is infested. Please see statement from EA below. its not is opinion its just advice.

I now think we have exhausted the topic and to be honest have given the why nots to fish a KHV infested water while larry and pete have put forward reasons to carry on. the best thing now is for me to pass on details for other to make there own mind up when the speak to the guy.

Certainly been a level headed discussion with no flouncing, which was nice.

It may be best if we all bought some Virkon as well as drying our nets. It only costs 5 or 6 quid in tablet form and can be put in a spray bottle to make it more economical to use.

We sprayed Melafix solution on our match caught carp when we had a problem a few years ago.£11 a bottle but it went a long way. Bri's mentioned 172 lb caught in a 3 hour match recently so it did the trick as we've not done any restocking since!

ROAD CLOSED!

New island being built on dual carragway, and the road is closed for two weeks.
When you come out of Balsall common, take the fist left to Barston, then right at the crossroads. It is signed as a diversion.
