Default Northern intersite

Right I'm going to put two rules in place on top of the fishery rules-
No floating pole.
No floating baits.

From what I hear its a good distance to the features, everybody has a waggler rod but not everybody has 20m of carbon, besides which its a numpty method! lol I think floating baits is pretty obvious.

Meet at 9:30 fish 11-4

CT the match organiser has the right to set the match rules as without him you aint got a match, mind you he should have made the rules clear a lot earlier.

i agree brian we need organisers but my reaction is as it is allowed at the fishery some one may have decided to fish this match because its a method they excell at or prefer to use say because they struggle to hold 16m for what ever reason age lack of strength disability etc. so to find out at the eleventh hour could be a little upsetting.

I Know what you mean CT and I said the same thing. I'm not quite sure what other members might think as you said and I said to brian, The fishery allows this. Suppose GAZM is right in a way, Its to suit us all and probably for the best.

Another thing though, Floating baits and floating pole would have killed it. Just hope the other lads know.

Floating baits should be banned in all matches as per NFA model match rules, fishery rules should be on top of these rules not instead of. Theres no rule about not using a fish finder at bradshaws, or even a bait boat, what would people say if i turned up and started using them?

I cant see why anybody would have a problem with the floating pole being banned, ive stated a good reason for this. And anyway a monkey could exel at it, its hardly a test of skill is it? As ive said on another forum if anybody doesnt know how to do anything else i will glady spend 10 minutes with them explaining how to set up a rod and reel and show them how a pellet waggler works.

Apparently its being emptied fishing coshida chunks at 6-8M anyway!

And if you fancy a very busy day you can fish caster and have a fish every chuck all day long too! Last time I fished that lake I got fed up catching skimmers and big roach, mucked about trying to catch carp for 2 hours with no luck went back to the skimmers and still ended up with 45lb!

Wink

i was only playing devil's advocate and i certainly agree with floating baits being banned but i see the floating pole as just another method at what point does a method become 'numpty'. swimfeedering was called this when it first started but is now seen as a top method. casting a waggler within an inch of a 17m reed bank was a skill till the pole lengths allowed us to reach there does this make the pole a numpty method ? vive le difference i say
