All I will say is just watch this space, there has been loads of comments made on other sites that have been studied and will be looked at, and work is going on in the background to get things back on an even keel.
Just maybe there will be one round on a canal, hope those that are pontificating about canals and rivers support this site if it does happen.

Peter the matches at Devizes were classed as the WEST match and it has moved twice once to accomodate the Welsh lads off Maggot drowners who travelled vast distances to support the intersite in those early days, and last year and was held Nr. Swansea, last year the West match was held at Hillview. I personally see nothing wrong with moving the venue around within given boundaries, at some time the match then becomes a little nearer to all those that participate.
Willow Park was the traditional home for the SOUTH match and as far as I can recall has been there since the inception of the intersites, but for the last 2 years has fished a bit iffy, with many struggling for bites.

Whats Peoples thoughts on teams of Eight +2 reserves for the matches !

a few sites struggled to raise teams of ten ,so a team of eight should be easierly attainable and with 2 reserves.

then if a matche doesn't have all the sites taking part the ones who can then get too use the 2 reserves (and gain bonus team points ,forfitted by the none attending teams ?).

I imagined the proposal was to make it more likely for each participating site to be more sure of fielding 8 contestants. The pegging would be for sites x10 The 8 points scorers would be nominated before the draw and any reserves would have a days fishing and perhaps glee at beating the nominees!Your proposal would penalise the site who could not raise 10 entrants which has happened in the past!

well it would be a minimum of 8 per team & the team selection would be down to the captains out of the ten and if they book the whole team as going then If a site is short a man or two from there side then the extra (reserves) can be used to fill-in for another side if needed (as has always been the case with the intersites) .

plus if there are a few spare people then they can help out by doing the weigh-in's ,which would speed things up a bit.

match organisers can accomadate enough places so all can fish ,all be it pleasure fish for spare anglers ,who would be free to walk the bank and see how team/oppersition are doing if they wish.

I know that if i was in a team. I'd be willing to do that ,if theres someone better suited too that venue than me ,take a back seat,i'd be happy too fill in for another team ,help by doing the weigh in & help my team mates keep a breast of whats happening ,and if lucky find time to do a spot of fishing.

After all the intersites is about having fun & fishing with other sites in the spirit of co-operation and shared love of fishing.

Brian, you are absolutely correct and I apologise, my brain has addled with age. It has also been so long since I fished the intersite series, in fact I think the last time it was on the K&A or even the one before that!
