Default Intersite Series Reborn

After talking to Chavender aka gudgeongrabber and as he is working flat out on his new site I have offered to pick the reigns back up and try to steer this baby back on course lol. If none of you have any objections let`s get going......

There has been a lot going on behind the scenes the last week or two and this is where we are at the minute.

We tried to listen to everyone from all the sites regarding location. This may not please all but we have tried to be fair.

Northern Leg to be arranged by Gaz Malman : Oaks Sessay

Southern Leg to be arranged by Vince/Pete : Monks Lakes

Western Leg to be arranged by Slider : Devizes Canal

Eastern Leg to be arranged by ?? : Suggested venues Lawn Farm or Peterborough Embankment

Midlands Leg to be arranged by BrianG : Looking at Toft Farm near Dunchurch or others?

Individual Leg 28th September arranged by Carpcruncher : Barston

We have agreed on a few rules this year just to clarify things.

RULES FOR ALL INTERSITE MATCHES

1, Above all the series is about FUN. We all fish club/open matches most of the time but this is not what the Intersite Series is about.

2, The regional organiser has the final say on ALL matters concerning their match.

3, Pools and pegging fee combined will be set at £12 as this will detract `ringers`.....apart from the Individual where there is a BBQ after.

3a, If there are any additional pools run they are nothing to do with the Intersite and must be OPTIONAL.

4, Teams will be a minimum of 8 but if there is enough demand from all teams this can be upped.

5, All section points to be awarded , based on 4 teams per section.......1st = 4pts 2nd = 3pts 3rd = 2pts 4th = 1pts DNW = 0pts

6, One person from each team is to be nominated to help with the weigh in so it`s not left to one person.

7, All team members must have been members of their particular website 3 months prior to a match - unless a member is 'guesting' to make up numbers for another team in which case they should have been a member of one of the competing sites for 3 months prior.

I hope this clears up all questions being asked.

1 Points scoring team per forum. If there was an over subscription from 2 or 3 sites we could knock a team together to accomodate I suppose of all the sites.

No Dave not on mate, the pegs need booking whilst it might work in the South at Willow Park the Midlands were only just there in numbers the West was down to teams of 8, these matches whilst wanting to get the fun back in them are still team matches which can not really be run adhoc.
What I would suggest that venue dependent should there be an overspill of anglers to places that a knock up match be organised to cover those not selected. I am sure that would be a better set up, if for instance I was not selected but was then allowed to be part of a stiffs team, my approach to the match would be different I would only be looking to win it and might just cock up the pegs either side of me, again another 10 anglers on a 60 peg venue would only increase the pressure on the water.

I`m happy to go with the majority Brian that`s why I put `suppose`. Hopefully things will be run smoothly and simply this year and set a benchmark.

Some forums have random selections.....others get their captains to choose.
