would anyone be interested in fishing a match on the Gloucester Canal.The warden is a great chap and will help me organise it.

im in . christ i hav,nt even heard the name gloucester canal for donky,s years it used to be very popular with the matchmen both south and north.if my memory serves me right did,nt we have a national on there in the ninety,s. might of been earlier b&j then unless you had the fliers which were full of big bream. for the last five minutes ive been trying to remember the matchgroup/team that were kings there. but its gone. anyone know who im talking about. do i know what im talking about

Gloucester United Anglers maybe......I love the place.......its a proper canal with proiper fish in it.I haven,t organised a match on here before so any help would be appreciated

Ray, I am really hoping to get a resurgance of matches on canals and rivers so your idea is a great one. If you choose to run a match and pick a date I will do everything I can to promote it and get you as many attending as possible.

at the fur and feather i was chatting to a chap from burton on trent (about the trent). i wonder if it would be possible to hire a stretch of the trent at burton, i would love to run a match there. is there anyone out there that knows the chap in question im sure he could answer the question.

What date you looking at Ray. I've never fished the glos before but I has I only live down the road in Cheltenham I would love to support the match Ray.
