yes but whats the traffic like on the foot path is it full with bike's and people running..and what is it just a licence or is there a club that runs that part of the dock's. i have never fished the dock but i have heard that it is a good crack and good bags have come out.. before i fished lake's i fished the Avon for 20yrs and i have had loads of brilliant bag's out... just that to day it is just in possible with all the bike's that go up and down its a sham a good river like that..........

i know what you mean!!! if you fish the baltic wharfe stretch of the docks, you will have only sailing boats and ferries to piss you off!! you might have the odd person come and ask you if youve caught, but thats it.try to fish either very early,or night fish like we do on thursday nights.try to find the cottage public house, and then walk up towards the city centre, towards the ss great britain.walk at the waters edge and you will see peg numbers.we used to get 100 anglers fishing this stretch about 10 years ago, beleive it or not!! we fish the pole and the tip.its deep(14-25 feet in places!)so use a two gram float.we start matching down this stretch 13/03/08 at 6.30pm,and finish at 10 pm.draw is at 6pm at the big metal hand sculpture or slighty further up.at present just turn up and fish.maggotts, worm, corn, and hemp and casters all catch.

its an open, but we do put in 25 quid each, and then fish a series.each match is only a fiver if you would like to give it a go,ring dave clutterbuck of bristol angling centre,on 0117 9500201,and the "castermaster" will put you on the right road!! its fished by the bathampton boys, some of the frys team, and dynamite baits lads often turn up.the england u21 skipper fishes as well,so its a decent standard, hell,i fish it, so it must be!!!!! i look forward to seeing you mate!!

at baltic wharf, you are about 1-2 foot if that, off the waters edge.we use a normal keepnet, and a normal size landing net handle.we fish two poles, one at about 10metres out,the other at about 5-7 metres out for the big dog roach that are in close!!!i will warn you now, that the first 2/3 weeks will be hard,as it hasn't seen any bait for six months.as we fish at night, you will need to obtain a car battery, and a spotlight.we have spares, and if you are going to make it a regular occurance, then it may well be that we can sort out some bits for you. we normally ball in at about 9 metres, and all the usual sensas, dynamite and van den eyne mixes all work well!! the eels at the docks grow big,so we try to fish about an inch of the bottom.well gentlemen, now that i have wetted your tatesbuds,i look forward to seeing you at the docks.oh yeah,we fish on the ss great britain side, but to get the best lowdown on the venue, you should call bristol angling centre , and speak to dave clutterbuck on 01179500201. dave has fished the docks for a long time, and has probably forgoton more than i will ever know!!
