Jeff.
I worked in an office where the gaffer banned farting.

The main problem was 4 of the lads went out for a few sherbets on a Thursday night followed by a mixed kebab in a naan, the next morning the air was foul.....all you heard was " It aint me...i didn't do it", it was quite amusing for the lads but caused the gaffer a major problem because she couldn't actually prove anything apart from the odd occasion when a follow through was followed by a written warning...She had a nervous breakdown in the end.

Don't think I would like to tell some burly 6 foot 18 stone bloke to put his fag out, I'll just carry on fishing and when the wind changes direction fart and eat my bacon sarnie.

I think you are all taking this thread far to lightly. Mind you what can you expect from people who are in my opinion. (To blind to see)

What the hell are you guys on - Ban smoking on Matches WHY ,

What places do you fish, where you can smell a ciggie waft down into your space

When you ditch your car and you ditch your heating at home and when you get rid off your electric kettle and your carbon footprint is ZERO then and only then will i agree that smoking should be banned full stop - until then please let me know were you go fishing because i would love to just walk past you with the biggest lada da (cigar which i dont smoke) just to really get up your very sensitive nose.

If smoking was banned what would you like to ban next Fishing !!!!!

Live and let live please, smoking outside can not be offensive to you at all,you are just looking for a good winge

We all know that smoking kills rivet but so does being overweight, drinking and lack of exercise, so after you have banned some people's pleasure of outdoor smoking what do you ban next ? drinking ? beef burgers ? or perhaps the full English breakfast some of us have before we start fishing on a cold morning, why not ban smokers who hang around hospital doorways who blow smoke in my face when I am going into the hospital ?
As I wrote before live and let live then we can all enjoy our sport or perhaps someone could open up a non smoking pool.

just had a look at your profile rive t you put down that your under paid ,over weight
you say the nhs has to spend more money on us smokers so what happens when you have health related problems due to being over weight in the future ?
end of the day its a choice to get over weight as same as its a choice to smoke
thats just one other thing that kills inocent bystanders
i didnt want to get personal
but i am not going to be told just because i smoke i am blind
tell you what why dont you open your own lake for non smokers i rekon you will be out of pocket within 6 months
"if i want to smoke i will smoke !

But why inflict your habit on others. If you want to smoke then fine, i have nothing against it.

But please do it behind your own closed door.
