i gave up 2yr's a go and it doz not bother me one bit if the man is standing next to me smoking that is my prerogative if i want to stand by him or not. that is the same for all them who say ban it when pleasure fishing or match fishing if you do not like it move or just do not fish the match that's your prerogative or just get on with your fishing that's what you are there for not what the next guy is doing next to you . i go to matches where 3 quarter's or more smoke so what you are saying is ban it then you will be fishing on your own mate. i like my fishing and the lad's i fish with so i am happy if they smoke.. if i am in a match and the guy next to me is smoking so what that's his business not my business.... that mop.......

Lee the smoking permit is to enable people to purchase them and not to allow people to smoke,

Although I sympaphise with non smokers banning smoking in open places is in effect banning it altogether, sadly our current government can not afford to do that.

I am a smoker of 25 years now I have tried everything to stop, accupuncture nasty videos, patches,gum pretty much everything the patches were the best sadly I need one the size of a sleeping bag for any real effect,

Passive smoking on a riverbank at say 12 yards would be almost zero, I would guess more damage was being done to your body from car and plane emmisions.

I have no problem with anglers smoking, just the ones who can't be arsed to pick their fag ends up. That goes for any litter though be it fags, line or tins etc. I go to a load of venues that have pegs full of crap or stuff thrown under the hedges and there is just no need.

well i made my stand smoking is banned on my matches also im banning keepnets on my matches .....ohhh and ozzie is banned his definition of me was a little to critical ohhh justin case is banned for having no will power....marko is banned for threatening my mate Rive t..Rive t is banned for inciting a riot.Big G is banned for not having a problem..bagging up art and bad boy bagger are banned for talking funny...sumos wife is banned for saying curtains is cute. curtains is banned for agreeing with her... ok sorry if i missed any one out but you all banned except woodhouse i already banned him last week

how very dare you????i work,i pay taxes(alot),i am 38,i cant smoke in a pub,football ground,cinema etc,i go fishing with my mates(by the way i am the only one who smokes)and not one moans,and you come out with this bolshi idea(well preference)what have you been smoking.you want a disciplinarian state or what.for f...ks sake get a life.like it or lump it is what i say.if you dont like other people smoking go pleasure fishing,get out of the club.
