Default Smoking whilst fishing

Now smoking is banned in public places, don't you think it should be banned on all fishing venues, Rivers Canals and Commercials alike.
I for one am sick of the smell of stale smoke wafting into my peg whilst i am fishing. Why should i have to share in the disgusting habit of other people fishing in the next peg.
I have wrote to my local MP expressing my view's, and he in turn has promised to write to all West Midland fisheries to try and get it outlawed, as they did at football grounds.
I believe this is a great opportunity for Talk Angling to be at the for front of a great crusade, to stop this filthy disgusting habit ruining the enjoyment of our sport
I appreciate that one or two of you will be against this idea, and i really couldn't, "give a stuff".
If you want to kill yourselves great, do it in a room all by yourself and where it does not contaminate others.

Rive

What can I say. Agree with the morale, but if thats the case then I want drinking on the bank and random drug test's in fishing. Fishing should be a social sport and yes it is banned in pubs hence I dont go in them so much. The big question is who's going to police it.

Soz ment to say, as fishing is near water then drinking alchol is way more dangerous. And there is nothing worse than havin the larger louts on the next peg.

I believe that if you are daft enough to inhale tobacco on a banned water then you should be disqualified. End of story

I agree Rivet, I have already thought about banning smoking on all my matches.
