Default Pole Elastic

Ive just treated myself to a new pole, which has come with four top three's and two carp top two's
As 95% of my fishing is done on canals, Ive never needed more than maybe a size 8's elastic, this has always been Prestons slip.

My question is :-
Is it worth spending the extra on expensive / hollo / hydro elastic? or stick to what I know?

The carp tops will be loaded up with heavy stuff..............

Regards

Steve

well why waste money on heavy elastics if you fish the tidlly pools

just put light elastic throught the power tops like number 8 to 10 works perfect for bream skimmers etc

to be honest through winter where i fish i use 2.6lb line and 20s b510 i use green map as very soft ideal for fls and think even white hydro is bit sever and bumped a few off on sunday with the white cus didnt ave enough tops with green map..i used the map for 2 winterls now and i find it spot on a sit can be tightend up so retrieves back in the pole every time yet still remains very soft
