I think over the next 5 years the BAA will lose even more clubs and anglers.

i have spoken to a number of people since the weekend who have had enough of paying for venues on the river then getting there to find the venue unfishable due to the vegetation being so overgrown.

woodhouse is correct.the fishing on the BCN is incredible weights like that are every week occurances.it wasnt the weights that made us shut cornerstone .But i must admit i have pangs to fish the cuts again the fishing is really second to none........the Baa i just cant belive why didnt they do something about the situation i think it will close and that really will be a sad day

only other open between now and next march is the Warks winter league practice on 1st october but there will be a teams of three over the winter and a two day festival over christmas.

Ernie Thomas is running opens on a Monday, but its only a bit of fun,£6 or £7 all in.

Sheltons Tackle in Tamworth have run 4 canal matches on the Coventry Canal, two of those matches have been won with over 20lb, one being 24lb 8oz, mainly chub.

The canals in the Midlands are second to none.
