Must admit I have been busy so did not realise WC was this week, where it is being held will have a big effect on who wins but I expect Italy, France, Belgium, and England to be challenging wherever it is staged.

Not heard much about German anglers but I am sure they are amongst the ever growing group of ever improving anglers so I may start to hear more of them.

Quite a few of the German anglers come to fish in Ireland every year and we always have a good crack with them!

England will of course do us proud and win the world champs this year!

Unofficial day one team scores are

1/England 16pts
2/ Hungary 39pts
3/San Marino 47pts.
if correct thats a brilliant start a similar performance on day two will surely mean gold,

Individual scores

Will Raison & Steve Gardner 2pts each
Sean Ashby 3pts
Stu Conroy with 4pts
Des Shipp with 5pts
Will Alan Scotthorne fish day 2 the norm is for day ones worst peformer to make way.

Thumbs up Come On England

Great performance on day 1, looks like the two Marks have got their decission right to drop Scotthorne.
Brian from what I've read, the rule is you can't fish the same team on both days. So it looks like Des Ship will have to make way for Scotty, I'ts a shame really, beacuse 5point is a very good result.
But thats the rule and it's a team match.

You are right John, the reserve from day one has to fish day two, in the case of Alan Scotthorne its hardly weakening the side is it?. England are almost in the position where some one can have a nightmare of a match and they will win
