Fished a club match on the Warks Stour. Had a super looking peg; was right on the inside of a bend. Pads to my right. Trees opposite, including a large over-hanging willow. And a good colour in the water.

Fed a crumb and caster line next to the pads for lumps - there are tench in there. Plus a caster and hemp line across for roach, dace, chublets etc.

Then struggled! Ended up with 2 eels, 1 roach and some bleak for 1-8-0 and precisely no where. Not sure what I did wrong. The match was won with 24lb+ (5 tench, bream & bits) from a noted peg.

No Brian, Roysty is no cheapskate.
We went to The Robin Hood at Droitwich. I had "Open Chicken Pie",
Roysty had a steak, and we washed it down with a nice pint
