Smile Cheese Paste

Can somebody please explain to me how to make cheese paste as I am fishing a river this weekend.

I'll be interested in what current(younger)members suggest! When I fished regularly for river chub I used to make a fairly soft bread paste and grated strong cheddar cheese into it until it was tacky.Mind you I couldn't afford to use a lot of cheese as I had to pinch it off my Mum!!
