Default Does any body else do this?

Okay im a big beleiver in preperation for fishing. Most of my friday nights are spent cleaning my gear orginising my tackle and prepering bait, while, my maits are illegaly under age drinking, getting arrested all that malarke .. lol.

So my question is this - Does anybody else do this?

Extra: Would also like to know if any body uses a 1 litre bottle with the top cut off , filled with water to see how your float is shotted or how your bait acts underwater. hopefully this just isn't me

Yes mate, I probably spend between 2 and 8 hours a week tying rigs, hooklengths, sorting bait etc etc.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail in my opinion. I would never consider going to a match without being fully prepared.

I spend at least 20 minutes preparing every week....most of that 20 minutes is getting bait from the tackle shop.

Its more than just a hobby to me, and unfortunately that means sometimes my social life, missus and job have to take second place. Thankfully my mates and missus are understanding and proud of my achievements so far. As long as once in a while you make the effort to go out on the razzle or cook for the wife you'll be fine!

When i used to fish rivers and canals i also used to spend hours making rigs, sorting my bait and preparing my kit. Since i've been fishing carp lakes i don't bother the rigs are so simple i make them up on the bank and prepare my bait at the waters edge and still manage to win my share of the brown envelopes.

Im a member of the last minute club aswell im afraid.I tend to rig up on the bank , and I tend to keep it simple, not one of these 10 lines people and i do ok by it.I think its just personal preference,if you are confident with what you do,stick to it.
