you might be talking about our match. 8 caught 16 blanked including all my team!! a skimmer won it 1lb 2oz i think and i believe a 10oz roach came second only one angler had more than 1 fish (2 tiny perch) as reigning champions and four times winners i dont think we have got a hope after that match.

fished sat weighed 4lb 13oz for 5th place caught 45 small roach fishing pinkie over groundbait tried a choppie line and a caster line which failed to produce only had 3 net fish (4oz apiece) all match
winner had 12lb+ fishing long rod and big stick i coulnt believe it 2nd 10lb+ of better stamp roach on 6mt whip to hand 3rd 6lb+ maggot over groundbait on pole 4th 5lb again on maggot over grounbait everybody caught fish but a big barge came through 1hr from end and killed it but it was an enjoyable day for everybody can`t wait to get back next month for clubs fur and feather

just won our latest winter league on sunday conditions were terrible
7lb 4oz 15drm 1st me
7lb 4oz 8drm 2nd thank god for beam scales
7lb 2 oz 3rd
7lb 1/2oz 4th

shame about the weather but our team won aswell

thats a great contested match ' 5 oz seperating top 4 ,wish our scales were that accurate

pegging wise 1st off 11 caster/red maggot over a ball a chuck 7m
2nd off 08 put 10 balls in at the off and loose fed heavily 11m
3rd off 15 put 10 balls in and loose fed heavily at 6m
4th off 10 not sure

if conditions were better presentation better would have seen several big double figures
noticed the fish came just as it dropped in the last foot of water so kept lifting the rig every 20 seconds after it had settled.tight lines mate.

fished our match here saturday in what started out as decent weather but after 1st hour wind got up and rain came by mid match it was howling a gale

1st peg 415 7lb 11oz
2nd peg 414 5lb 6oz
3rd peg 413 4lb 3oz
4th peg 419 3lb 13 oz
i was 5th with 3lb 8oz

winner fished long rod again catching all roach on caster
2nd started on 8mtr whip but lost bottom 2 sections blown into canal so finished match at 6mtrs fishing maggot
3rd place fished pole at 10mtr landing a decent skimmer 1st drop in followed by a big perch 2nd drop in
