Genuine Goretex is expensive but you will NEVER find anything better, and looked after theres no reason it wont last for 10 years.

Also worth a look is this site in the states, you might have to pay taxes but can work out at a lot less than angling company branded stuff
Cabela's Official Website - Quality Hunting, Fishing, Camping and Outdoor Gear at competitive prices.

Watch out for the sizes as I think US sizing is a little different to ours, not seen him on here for a bit but Alfie is based in the states and would no doubt givev you advice.

The bib and brace isnt bulky but the jacket is quite, then again yous get whats ya pay for and that Gortex is the dogs danglies ...very warm and very thin but for around £99 the Celsius stuff is good value foe money.

Protak TR range have never had a problem with it and myself and two lads have two sets apiece one set lined the other set not (summer use).

Goretex clothing may be the top end but rarely comes with a warm liner and after using Protak I can't justify the expense..my gear gets a lot of use and I've always been warm and dry even in a full blown Hail Storm followed by sleet.

Go for the cabelas if you are prepared to wait for your Xmas present
