Default Brilliant

Just spent A Day Fishing With England International Mark Downes.........

Well 58 minutes on DVD anyway....

Cost me £1.50 off ebay & although there's no date on it I'm guessing it could be early nineties....... which isn't that long ago but the fishing looks a million miles away from what we're all at today... it all looks so basic (tackle that is not results !).....

Tell you one thing, there was nothing flash about the DVD, just the man fishing & talking but 58 minutes has just flown by... very nice chap & very relaxed presentation.....
Does anyone know if Mark is still on the match scene these days ? he sounded a bit brummy to me so I'm guessing he could be a local hero to some

Mark still fishes as part of the Starlets team.

He is still a very good angler.

Mark is good, but his brother Paul is better. Was pegged between them on a charity match I was running on the Grand Union canal some years ago. Thought I was keeping up with Mark in the first half, he doubled my weight in the second!! Paul won the match!!
