Default Barston lakes

Hi all ive just read on another site that there is curently a match running on this venue using international rules and that bloodworm and joker is allowed . does anybody know if bloodworm and joker is allowed in any of the open matches that are run here , I looked at the weights and they are quite impresive for winter silver fishing ,

Rules are simple at Barston, No Braid, No Floating Baits, No Barbed Hooks, thats about it other than keepnets in matches only.

Sounds like a well run venue never fished it before so is it worth fishing for small fish or do the carp feed all year round

You will find that the carp go missing to a great extent in the winter, which has not yet arrived, but it does have a good head of silvers so is always worth a go, it can go very hard depending on the frosts. The top right hand corner is the place to be when the colour drops out the water as it is significantly deeper around there.
