hi, I still dont get the point, my eng is not good so i have a few questions.
Is it possible to catch any fish in winter?, i found a fishing pond near my house but it seem like nobody go there for fish at the moment.
and what is the best bait to catch a fish during the winter, especially this time, Nov-Dec.
Thanks

Long tin try using punched bread, feed a ball of liquidised bread and fish the punch over the top of it, if there are ducks on the water then the chances are that people will feed them so the fish will be well used to seeing bits of bread, alternatively pinkies are a reasonable winter bait and will catch most species.
To liquidise bread cut off the crusts off 2 day old bread and run it through a food processor, the bread for the hook needs to be fresh to help it stay on the hook, put a slice in a microwave for 15 seconds and then wrap the slices seperately, or pop them in a polythene bag to stop them drying out, use one slice at a time.

Carp like any other fish are catchable even with ice on the water. Maybe not in huge numbers but if you,re prepared to venture out in such conditions then choice of venue and careful planning should put a couple of fish on the bank. Dont be affraid to scale down particularly now we have the advantage of hollow elastics. By the same token dont get rediculous. I,ve often found that a fair few carp come to the net while fishing for Roach or Skimmers in these conditions, but i,m only able to come to this conclusion from fishing my local venue, maybe its not as cut n dried on other waters. even so they,re not unmanagable even on light tackle. when they do turn up its great fun and in matches they,re definatley a huge bonus.
