once about 20 years ago. just to make an easy way of checking why do severn trent not just wait in car parks of commercials on a Sat/ Sun morning. Bet they would check more licences then and they would not need to worry about safety of officials as i must admit challenging an angler? on a deserted stretch of river on there own could be a bit dodgy to say the least

first match of the season in my club all anglers must show a valid licence when paying pools failure to do so means they are not fishing as a club member can score no points nor recieve any prizes.they have to produce it at the next match or are banned.

as much as i hate to agree with the teepot but think you are bang on with this one m8.
had it checked 4 times this season 3 at coombe abbey and once at willesley.
yet the commercials where prob 80% matches take place you never see a bugger. (dont mind at coombe relieves the boredom of watching a motionless tip)
our winter league matches are being fished at tunnel barn at the moment as well as our match there is the usual open prob another couple of clubs plus the pleasure anglers, thats quite a lot of bodies in one place.
have never seen a baliff there
