Default Eyed or Spade ?

When catchin carp on pole do you think it matters if the hook is a spade end or an eyed hook. Spade ends cant be that much lighter and does it really matter for carp because if they want it..they want it!
I would feel more confident using eyed for carp because the knot is super strong and when burying 14 hooks in cubes of meat i dont think the presentation would be eney differnt.

its all about the way the moves when the bait is blowen in, and the hook is always on the line so when the bait moves the hook and line does aswell.
there aint a different really in the hooks, a lighter hook may move more quickly when the bait is bieng sucked in but what you should have is a hook that can move without resistance, i belive that is down to the weight of the line more then the hook because it is the line that gives it the resistance.
if only there was a way to let the hook move freely with no resistance from the line.

I like the Korum S3 hooks for carp work , eyed but seamless and therefore no gap to snag/damage the knot, have a lot of confiddence in the hook.

Tend to use spade end for small fish only, eyed for eveything else
