Default Pigeon Sh*t

Hello again lads,

Do a fair bit of canal fishing and was just wondering if any of yous have played around with pigeon sh*t before? I've played with some in my mixes before and it gave a good cloud for bits fishing. Nice and hempy and active too. What way do you prepare it? I know some people say to mix it with boiling water to allow the oils to leak off etc. Others say to mix it in as it is. Any opinions?

As above, use hot but not boiling water.

If you can get fresh, soak it for a couple of days in water, berfore pushing it through a coarse riddle to get out all the feathers!

You can use the wet slopp sh*t to mix ur groundbait with, not adding water. The combination of the milky cloud and smell with the relatively dry particles of the groundbait will cause it to react with a lot of activity in water (as dryish groundbaits do) but the weight of the sh*t makes sure it sinks. Fantastic for roach.

Thanks lads. And another thing. Around how much do you add to your mix? Should I put it through a pinkie riddle dry 1st to remove the bigger lumps of feed and then wet it?

If using it as an additive try 25%, If youre using it wet to mix your GB with try 50%.

Yea riddle it dry, if the bits are all the same size they waill absorb the water more uniformly as the surface area of the particles is more consistent.
