Default net dipping

IS IT ME,OR THE VENUES I GO TO,BUT HAS ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THAT SOMETIMES THE DIP BARRELS SEEM DIRTY(AND SMELL TERRIBLE)I SOMETIMES THINK THIS IS WORSE THAN NOT DIPPING. I ALWAYS CLEAN MINE AT HOME.ALSO WHATS THE POINT OF A FISHERY SUPPLYING A KEEPNET(SOMETIMES COMPULSARY)BUT YOU USE YOUR OWN LANDING NET.CONFUSED OR WHAT??????

yes you are right about the THE DIP BARRELS SEEM DIRTY (AND SMELL TERRIBLE) and yes you are right what you say that the fishery supplying the keep net doz not mind you using your own landing net it is no different then using your keep net... it can still Carry bacteria in to the lake which you are about to fish.. you are right it is confusing.

I find most net dips are open to the elements and diluted by rainwater etc anyway.
The only real way to ensure that your nets are germ free is to make sure they are completely dried out after use, not easy at this time of year. Alternatively why not rinse them off at home after each session using a bleach solution and then plain water.

yeh it is a good way but my mates net changed colour cause he is an idiot so be careful with the bleach lol
