Default latex

Hi all, been looking at the new preston latex elastic and im thinking of trying it it out for those times when you need a bit more control. Been useing hollo and hydro for the last 5 years and its been great but would like to give this stuff a go.
Thinking of getting some 12 and 14 for my carping would it be best to use it in my power kits or top three with my number one out and does it need lubritating like the slip elastics, my only gripe is that its the same colour so telling the difference of the elastics apart, any advice would be great thanks

You could always mark the bung with a perm marker, then laugh at your neighbours while they try to determine what your using

if a lattex has a colour its not pure latex. as the dye changes its profil.

go with a white latex then the stretch and retraction will be much better. if your using stonfoes get different colours to tell what one is which.

if you use a crows foot then pull a peice of hollow elastic above the knot.

or the other one with a crows foot is to tie in a peice of thick dacron then pull a peice of hollow ontop of the knot.

i would have as much lattex as you can fit in your pole and put stora bungs in to fine tweak it to the conditoins you face.

I have set all my new tops up with Preston slip natural latex I was also wondering about lubes, and what effect they would have on the latex from a degrading point of veiw,

I purchased some polemaster slick thinking it was silicone milk, it lubes the latex ok but I think its a soap based lube which im not keen on I need to test this to be sure of its makeup unless someone knows,

One thing is for sure don't use oil based lubes on latex it will break down the latex in a very short time.

with the latex i would give it a little bit of lubing mainly in the first 6 foot of your elastic. when i used to use latex i used to change them every five times of use becuase they would wear away so quick. also after every session i would strip back the first 6 inches of elastic and then take 6 inches off the winder bung.

check your bush as alot of bushes arnt as smooth as they are meant to be. especially the cheaper ones.(not stating you use sh£$^y bushes.) but as bushes are made in two halfs there are usually two rough bits in side the bush.
