Default AT Winter League

Who on here fishes the winter league?

If so who do you fish for and how are your teams getting on so far?

I'm fishing the Warkshire division for WB Clarke VDE...

Had two practice matches so far, i won section money on the 1st october on Walsall canal with 229 tiny roach for 6-6-6 and i was 2nd in the match at little Onn last sunday with 13lb odd of roach and chub so going into the 1st round proper with a bit of confidence...especially as its on my water.(Walsall canal at Tipton.)

I do. Sort of...

I fish for Leicester in the Soar Valley Winter League (Think it's my 5th league in the last 8 seasons?)

However, due to not finishing work in time to get to Loghborough I couldn't make the first round, and was bedridden this week so missed the second round.

It's obviously affecting them though as they haven't been doing too well....(!)

West Middlesex Division, for Harefield Tackle, for the last eight years
Best to draw a discreet veil over how we did in the first round this year....

Prior to that, Oxford and Thames Valley divisions for A4 ,Berkshire Division for Gerrards Cross, and , more years ago than I care to remember, North East and North Durham divisions for a variety of long vanished teams.

Fished my first one about 35 years ago now- I've still never won one!

Hi Runner,

I used to fish the West Mids for Davies Angling and latterly for Banstead - perhaps you know a few of their lads!
