when i started my club i went through every thing.

firstly bingo balls, good but some had a sharp edge on them so i was worried some one try and cheat.

secondly this was was very good but still had its problems. i bourght 100 ping pong balls from the pound shop for a tenner and just used a black marker pen on them. but what you would find is that people would put dents in them so they new what ball was what.

so in the end i got a sheet of stainless at work put it on the guilatine and cut it in to equal sizes. then i stamped each peice with a number.

but another good way that i tried was to put a peg number on a peice of paper and put this in a envolope.seal the envolope, mix them all up then chuck them on the floor. this lets every one draw at the same time which i found stopped the arguments on who was drawing first.

I fished a match about 10 years ago and you literally drew a peg

The numbers were written on half a wooden clothes peg

the guy had a board on the table and as a peg was drawn it was placed in its corrosponding slot on the board, it seemed to work well.

the only way to stop any arguments sadly is envelopes, its a pain in the a** making them all up and its not very green, but it cuts out any cheating what so ever or more to the point any doubt.

go to your nearest engineering firm.they will have a bucket of off cuts.they wont cost much, and with a little elbow grease, and a marker pen,you will have some pegs that will last a long time.
