Hi mate,

If you use the link below, Giles Cochrane , the guy who developed it will show you what it's all about. Much easier than anyone else trying to!

Cheers....Mark

i think the problem with this is that the hook doesnt actually slide up and down the loop. becuase the line is supple the line bends and moves freely. in my tests of the method it worked best tieing two loops.the top one has the hook on, and the bottom one has a shot about the size of a bb.this keep the line tighter and lets the hook slide up and down.

i think this mehtod has its day like any other but i would much more prefere to have a sensitive well shotted and well precented rig over this.

I tried it out on a water in which I had always struggled on for F1's
My catch rate doubled to what I would normally catch
I was very impressed

You don't need to use it just for F1 fishing
For the past 18 months ALL my rigs have the hook attached by the loop, I have never used a spade end since

I have probably picked up more coin and wins since I changed to the loop than previously, and on many different waters. It's as good at catching silver’s as it is carp

Personally I think the hook in the loop give a more natural presentation of the bait.
It's like it is on a swivel and has more free movement. It works with all baits too
It's a lot easier to tie a new hook on, and quicker to make your rigs up
There is no fear of a spade end cutting the line on a big fish
You can get away with heavier line than you can with a spade, which helps with the speed of bringing the fish in

I don't think I would ever go back to spade ends now
