Default feeding

is it true that different venues fish preffer different feeding methods and if you feed the way the fish want it, your more likley to have a really good day baging up?

yeh, i was fishing my local cannal yesterday and thought about different feeding techniques and decided to try and fish all 3 different techniques and see if 1 goes hand in hand above the other 2.
one line i put a cup of pellets in and the others i fed little and often and a cap top full every put in, the swim i put a full cup in at the start brought 15 fish were the little and often line produced 2 and the cap pot line produced 3.
just proved to me that its about the feeding on the venue not the bait.

Ryan
I was once told by the late great Ivan Marks

The biggest mistake in fishing is overfeeding
The second biggest mistake is underfeeding

Also as you mentioned the different methods of feeding a set amount in a match IE dumping with a large pot, every put in with a toss pot / kinder, lose feeding with a catapult etc etc leaves you with nearly as many permutations as the national lottery !!

Venues do respond to various methods and amounts of feed differently but they can also change overnight.

Thats the "fun" of fishing mate if you ever crack it you wont need to work again.

Good luck

You can move on from there Ryan

You can then start moving shot about to see if you can entice more bites, adjusting depths swapping hookbaits etc

All of a sudden the permutatons become greater, these can get reduced as you come across repeat scenarios,

but your on the right track, trial and error and a lot of practice it all helps

and then.. you can try and work out why you can only catch on one rig....when you have 2 identical rigs set up and cant get a bite on the other....? Beats me

You do not need bait on a wilkie, The fish feel honored to be caught on them
