Sycamore Pool is permanently pegged, the pegs nearest the car park are consistent. I'd be happy with 1 - 5 & 19 - 24.

Thanks for all the help, it turned out to be a real struggle Saturday with the winning weight only being 48lb from peg 2. I managed 2nd place from peg 21 with 33lb 14oz. couldn't get a touch on the deck and majority of my fish were caught on pellet at 5' deep at 11m. 3rd place came from peg 1 with I think it was 22lb. The wind was strong and blowing down towards the car park end, which made holding the pole steady a real challenge and bait presentation a struggle. The margins just never happened with out a single fish being caught there in the whole match.

Must confess to not trying the waggler shallow, got the waggler rod out looked at the wind and waves going accross from right to left in front of me and decided not to set it up. I know a ripple is nice when fishing shallow but I didn't think the float would stay in one place long enough to feed it correctly.
