Tight Lines 10/10
On the 29th February I wrote a thread titled 'Poor Poor Tight Lines'.(Sky Sports).
I still stand by everything I wrote concerning this Tight Lines episode, (before I go on I did not cancel my subscription to Sky Sports), and I will never get involved in any kind of a slanging match with someone who should know better,(Andy Ford calling someone a muppet, namely me)
Well tonights Tight Lines in my opinion, did you read that Mr. Ford, MY OPINION, tonights Tight Lines gets 10/10, Neil Machin 10/10 yes 10/10.
Andy Ford asked Brian G in my previouse thread (dated 29th Feb) what he expected from N. Machin, well Mr Ford this is probably what Brian and everybody else expected from N. Machin.
Keith Arthur 10/10, Keith in MY OPINION was great tonight, could it be because he had no studio guest?
Programme makers tonight in MY OPINION got it right tonight 10/10.
Finally Mr Ford in response to your comments, I am in agreement with Ian B, (previouse thread 29th Feb.) and feel it is a pity you seem not to be able to take criticism and that you should be honest and admit that there is more than one point of view.

I think it's fair to have an opinion, but we have to remember that Andy Ford and the rest of the production team are trying to deliver a magazine programme that must cover ALL aspects of the sport, and at all levels. Like you, I sometimes feel that the show could have been better, but have to think was it aimed at me? When you think that these guys are the only ones producing angling content for TV, we should at least be constructive with our criticism. I hope that this comes over as constructive, that is what I intended.

Silver Fish you yourself have just admited the show could have been better,(Tight Lines 29th Feb), and I totally agree about what you say concerning constructive criticism, do you really believe a person in Mr Fords position calling someone a muppet is constructive criticism.
Somehow I do not think so.

Wernley, I to am also glad to see angling on the box, but you must respect everybody's opinion without it getting personal. If everybody disagrees with Andy Fords opinions would you suggest they are all muppets.
I have never met you Wernley, but if I disagreed with one of your opinions does that entitle me to slag you off.
I don't think so, and I would not do it anyway because I would have to respect your views.

tounge in cheek
no need to take offence,my comments were, if read in the manner they were written to defuse a issue that we all have a point of view is not in question to call someone a muppet for there views could be seen a bit harsh.
