there is a pairs match on monday at woodlands lakes, thirsk. if anyone would like to partner me on it let me know. i can give a lift to anyone in the bradford/leeds area. i think it is £40 all in the pair and fishing 11-4. if interested let me know asap

Don't mention pairs to me..... took the plunge & went to Hallcroft to fish my first open today. Paid extra attention to my bait preparation last night as knew I would be mixing with quality anglers.
Arrived at Hallcroft (the home of open matches every day except Christmas Day), paid for a breakfast then went to match co-ordinators & said I'd like to fish please, how much is it ? He muttered something that I didn't quite catch so I repeated myself & added I like to fish the open please how much ? he said no open today its a pairs match, to give him his due he recommend phoning in future...grrrr..... I just smiled & said no problem I'll just have a day ticket... caught f'kall, had a crap day & beat the wife up when I got home.

ONLY JOKING about beating the wife up. And, 2nd in section, if I lived nearer I'd be happy to partner you in your match.... wish you'd have been at Hallcroft today looking for a partner (to fish with that is).
