Spaghetti for me to. I have been using this for years and have found it to be the best thing. If you need a bigger stop you just break a bigger bit. Simple, cheap and effective.

Hi Jeff,
No just pinch a few bits out the kitchen. Put the boilie or meat on the hair, push the dry spaghetti through the loop snap off to the size you want and away you go.

I'd go with the Korum quick stop spikes too, only problem I can say I've had with them is getting caught in the landing net and being ripped off the hair. That would probably happen to most stops though.

How do you actually tie a hair rig. Don't laugh, I do very little carping over here. Preferably a good diagram if someone had a link...

A good stop for luncheonmeat when hair rigging for Barbel are the 'Fox Luncheonmeat stops' with a short bit of the tube that comes with them. the meat doesn't come off even when you make a big cast. see link-->Fox Luncheonmeat stop
Although if your using small pieces on the pole then the 'Korum quick stop spikes' would be more suitable.

Heres a link showing you how to tie a hair rig using the knotless knot.

Heres a link to where you can get photos and exlanations to many of the different hair stops available
Hair stops etc.
I haven't tried the Korum bait screws for meat but they look promising.
