Default Maver pole floats

Ordered myself some bits and pieces from tackleshop.co.uk - a very good and professional service.

I brought a couple of the new Maver ice pellet floats. The weight on them are 4x12 and 4x14; I understand this is how the french weight their floats. I am confused as most of the floats I use are weighed in grams. I count one gram roughly as one foot - what depth are 4x12 and 4x14. I assummed it was three foot and three and a half foot.

Have I worked this out correctly??

Thank you in advance for any help!

Default Pole float weights

Thank you, once again for all your help.

By the way, used one of the Maver ice pellet floats this morning (sunday) can now understand why it was taking so long to to sit upright and settle; using 4 x 12 in 5 ft of water.
