Default First time at Tunnel Barn Fishery

Got the day off tomorrow (Tuesday 27 May) and am going to take a ride out to Tunnel Barn Farm. What would be the pools to fish on for someone who is a novice? What baits are best? I was going to take 4 an 6mm pellets, micros and sweetcorn!

Any advise will be appreciated

Fishery pellets there.
If you go on bottom pool there are fish to doubles, and all the other pools are F1s.
New pool is good, peg 24, 25, 26 area on the high bank, and the top pool also, peg 32, 33 area.
Fish will on the deck in this weather, but if it stops raining they could come up, and you will have fish a chuck!

Default Tunnel Barn Farm

Arrived at the fishert at 9.15am. Told them it was my first time there and that I was a novice angler. Chap said that House pool would be good around peg 30/31 because it was shaded from the wind. I asked what was the best bait was told what ever you use you will catch as all pools are fishing well.

Chose peg 31 fishing at 5mt with Ringers 6mm, RS Elite 4mm and sweetcon. Have to be honest and say that I had my best fish on both sweetcorn and ringers. Just fed half dozen RS, 2 or 3 ringers and a couple of sweetcorn every other fish with a toss pot. Had a fish everytime I shipped out with a biggest fish of 5lb 4oz mirror carp the rest were tench, f1's and a couple of roach and skimmers.

At 3.30pm I decided to move round to peg 20 on the same pool. I fished under the over hanging tree at around 10mt and had F1, after F1 till i finshed and 6.30. Had my biggest F1 under the tree weighing in at 2lb 8oz, which gave a good account of its self.

My right wrist and forearm are aching like mad after an excellent days fishing catching 80 fish plus, weigh unknown. Wont be long before I make another visit but will fish another pool though.

The staff were very helpful indeed

The staff would not have been so happy if they knew you were not feeding fishery pellets as advised by silverfish & nigel oh yeh and the signs all over tunnel barn saying anglers found feeding non fishery pellets will be banned. Glad you had a good day but do stick to the rules
