Default Bread punch (bargain in Tesco)

Really enjoyed the article on bread punch in this months Match Angler, ive had a little try before but that article inspired me to have a serious go at it.
First thing was get a liquidiser for making the feed, found one in Tesco, there own brand one was £7.97!!! 350w motor and 1.5lt capacity, should last a season if im just chopping bread with it and no-one can complain if i leave it dirty.

Secondly, that little box that was used in the article for keeping the slice of bread fresh while using it, what is it, who makes them and where can i get one?

Not seen the article so not sure but Image used to do one sadly they are not any longer in business, maybe Fox do one as it was something Mark Pollard used when with Image, you could use a CD case just a little bit fiddly if its a bite a chuck fishing and it close up. Have a read of this http://www.talkangling.co.uk/Punch.htm

Hi Scott, glad you enjoyed that article, I took the photos!

The bread board is an Image one and after spending the day with Chavey, I decided to get back to some punch fishing and needed to get equipped. I put a note on the tackle wanted board of this forum and managed to turn up two of them that a couple of kind anglers no longer wanted.
Email me your address and I'll send one of them on to you.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm just penning my next one hopefully It'll get into a future MF. and keep me and Steve in a job .Steve's right its an old Image punch board. I don't think I could fish punch without it as it forms a solid base to punch onto and you don't need to keep changing the bread as it goes hard due to exposure to the air. It does make a difference to how quickly you get the bites if the bread is fresh and not too compressed. Fingers crossed someone will start making them again.

Hopefully we'll get a chance to use plenty of bread next winter if gman runs some matches on the K&A. You never know, they could even be Kamasan qualifiers...
