Default Take me fishing please!!

On other forums I have seen threads where people take out newbies fishing to help educate them and show them the ropes. I am a big fan of this idea because that's how I started. I have seen all to often someone new come into the sport and not know what to do, blank and lose interest so If anyone is interested then please state where you are from and what method you use and team up with someone and put them on the road to success!!

I fish with the pole/feeder and live in wolverhampton.

I have spare rods and a spare pole so I would be willing to pick up or meet anywhere and give my time to help!

I just thought it was a good idea. Plus how happy would you be being there when you help someone catch a pb of any species or in some cases their first fish! lol I remember when I caught my first pike the bloke who took me was happier than I was!!!!

I have said exactly the same on the Furness Fishing Assoc forum. I must be doing a thousand things wrong and therefore I could be getting a much better quality and quantity catch.

Seeing as my dad took me when I was little, now the tables have turned and I take him, he just loves catching fish, no matter what and what size, so I get the gear ready and he fishes away to his heart content. It is good fun too.

Now I know why you dont want that day out with me

I have promised siverfish a day out on our waters and that invitation is extended to anyone else in the Birmingham area, not saying you will learn a great deal off me but you will get to fish one of the best small clubs waters in the Midlands.

I already take my own kids fishing with her friends (boys and girls), have donated tackle to some more youths and showed them how to use it.
I am not sure about taking any youngsters I dont know, that should be done by clubs etc (see oneabungs thread on youngsters) but like the idea of showing an adult the ropes.
I am geared towards fishing all course methods but happier on still waters.
I live between Peterborough and Cambridge, so if you want a day out P.M. me.
You dont need any tackle but do need a valid course rod license.
I only expect you to pay for the peg fee and perhaps a few quid for bait.
I am not looking to make any money out of it, just catch some fish and put a smile on my face will be enough
I'm no expert or P.A.A. coach but think I know enough to help a new starter.
No time wasters please as my time is precious.
Smashing thread.
