Have just been looking at the threads in The Venue Advice
Thread, (if that makes sense). Of the last 7 threads that have been added in Venue Advice the number of threads viewed is 385, yet out of this only 19 people have replied,(to date 29th June) do you think that people are keeping secrets or is it just that they have not fished the venues. I do not think it is the latter or they would not look into the thread in the first place, I still believe SOME people are holding back on information required concerning venues.
What do you think?

lol i think you so far of the truth .......people will give advice if they have fished the venue...i look at all venue advice even if its a million miles away.......But good advice is only a guide all venues fish different day to day let alone week to week..and anglers fish different too....theres only one way to be sure and thats a practice

Larry, over the years I have been given advice, the only thing is, it has been BAD advice and after the match you find that the person who gave it to you fished the match completly different than what they told you. That is my personal experience, people wan't to win at all cost. Fortunatly I am not one of them.

Its always difficult to offer and take onboard venue advice

you need to treat it as an outline or guide, people fish differently, there are so many factors that can effect the outcome, 3 or 4 people in a line with the same rigs bait and tackle would rarely catch the same.

But as a guide the section is more than usefull

Polepot, I to have had some excellent advice from this thread ( Andy Gas comes to mind) also some excellent advice from Jeff Moores and I agree I should be more careful who I take advice from. Bearing this in mind the advice I am receiving on a certain match day is from an angler who I am fishing against. Justincase correctly suggest that I should treat any advice as just a guide and in the future that is exactly what I will do. I still do believe the best advice is from people who use TALK ANGLING and not from people on match days.
