yes well done and with a happy ending. reminds me of an incident many years ago when i young lad fell in the tidal river hull (runs at the back of my house) which is fast flowing and very muddy. his mate ran to the nearest house screaming for help and my mates mam ran on to the bank jumped into the river upto her shoulders and started feeling around and thankfully found the young lad and hauled him with help from neighbours out of the mud and onto the bank. he was revived taken to hospital and survived. everyone thought dorothy deserved recognition and someone wrote to the royal humane society nominating her for an award. the letter she recieved in responce is framed and hangs in her front room to this day. it stated she did not qualify for an award as she had not "shown or demonstrated any actions that could be deemed out of the ordinary or heroic"

just makes you wonder the type of person who would make such a statement.

A nice guy and now a bona fide hero to boot!

After seeing the programme on the 7/7 'have a go heros' the other night, I wonder how many people would have reacted as quickly and calmly, if at all as Ken did?
