Default any ideas please

just wanted to pick everyone brains regarding trophies for clubs. we do the usual champion ,pairs , knockout , divisional , highest match weight , we stopped doing specimen fish after concerns over unneccessary fish handling. what i was after is any different or unusual trophies you award especially those that give the lesser lights something to go for.cheers

this used to be the case at one club but someone took umbridge !!!!!
we also had a splash trophy but one of the younger ones (nutter) always made sure he 'fell in'
on the first match which upset a few

It's not so much a trophy, more a bit of fun but the small club I fish with have a little twist at the draw bag whereby everyone draws as usual & your number is written down. Then all the numbers go back in the bag & everyone draws again (sounds like a lot of messing about but it only takes another minute). The second number you draw means that the angler who pulled it out first time is fishing for your little bonus, could be a fiver/tenner etc.
It could be that the same angler pulls his own number out again second time but that just means he gets the bonus himself if he wins overall. Usually though it goes to someone who hasn't framed.
So to recap whoever wins the match gets the best payout as usual with any match but whoever pulled out the eventual winners number at the second draw gets a little bonus - as I said just a bit of fun but it makes it worth hanging about if you're having a crap day, especially if you pull out the number drawn by the club favourite !

Mandy? Is that really you?

How about an award for the best up-coming junior? Or the guy voted as 'best bloke for advice and/or helping new anglers'. Every club will have these eligible fellows. Prizes could be a voucher to spend at the nearest decent tackle-shop, or next years membership for free

Just an idea

What about a cup for the one who attends most matches.
