Default Universal Top 2 kits?

I recently purchased a second hand Maver Moby Dick 12.5m pole complete with 2 match top 3 kits, 1 top 2 kit and a cupping kit all in excellent condition for £70. This is my first pole and so did not want to spend a fortune first time round. I would now like to get a couple more top 2 kits but none of the tackle shops near me sell universal ones. I have had a look on ebay and found these Middy DNA power top 2 kit with free elastication kit on eBay, also Other Coarse Fishing, Coarse Fishing, Fishing, Sporting Goods (end time 17-Aug-08 20:25:00 BST)

I am thinking of getting 2 of these and fitting 1 with the 14-16 elastic that comes with it and the other with a 10-12. I would welcome your opinions on this idea and any recommendations.

Many thanks
Craig

Hi mate,

If I were you I'd try a couple of these websites first, I think you may find some Maver ones there -
www.benwick-sports.co.uk/indexmatch.htmhttp:
Fosters of Birmingham - the complete fishing tackle specialists
Harrisons Tackle of Lincoln - Fishing Tackle and Online Store

Cheers....Mark

Thanks for the links Mark. I have had a look but can not find anything suitable. I like the look of the ones on ebay simply because the inner diameter, 20.55mm, of the bottom section matches that of my existing top kits and so will not need any cutting back. Most others I have seen are only 18mm to 19.5, to small, or are 23mm plus and I don't trust myself to cut them back correctly.

Many thanks and kind regards
Craig

Just an update. I found a Maver stockist on their website about 8 miles from me in Burnley. Fantastic place that takes up the complete first floor of an old mill. They had poles set up for folks to try out etc.

I went along with my no 4 section and although thay did not have anything of Mavers ,they managed to sort me out with 2 Browning universal top 2 kits that were a great fit. I got them both with elastics, bungs, bushes etc for £55. Result!

Regards
Craig
