Default My Girl

In June we asked our 8 year old daughter what she wanted for her birthday present and her reply was that she would like me to take her fishing so today i had a bit of bait left and took her up the canal near Wolverhampton.

She is small for an 8 year old so i decided to set her a track rig up to fish caster at 6 metres, she soon got the hang of holding the pole while i loosefed for her.

After about 10 minutes the float sailed away and with a positive strike she was on her way to catching her first ever fish.

Not the usual perch that most kids caught for their 1st fish.

despite struggling with a slight cross wind she was doing very well and ended the 40 minute session with a few nice fish.

I think the smile says more than i ever could! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
