My names Andy from Kings Norton, Birmingham and I fish for Carp mainly. I just enjoy a quiet day at the lakeside, watching the wildlife and hoping for a run.

Some of the places I fish are Shatterford, Barston, Dayhouse Farm, Sion, Alvechurch Fisheries, and Earlswood Lakes.

Found a nice Lily Pond near Harborne, Birmingham that had the following sign:

"M.G.A.C. Private Fishing Members Only".

Anyone know who MGAC are? I can't find any info on the net.

What is the Splash Wag?

I fish Earlswood when the fishing is slow elsewhere. It's usually good for catching a number of small mirrors. I usually leger there, but during the summer I use the Method Feeder with good results. Most of the carp there seem to be 4 to 6lb mirrors though I did see someone catch an 18 pounder once. No room there for erecting a bivvy except during a drought when the water level is down.

Hello chaps, my name's clive, I'm 38 and have been back open match fishing for a year after a break. I live in Nottingham and will be travelling to river matches all over. If you'd like to share the petrol, get in touch.
