Default southerner ?

Hi Guys/Dolls

Live in a small village near Leighton Buzzard (have you heard of it?)....fish mainly on our local canal the Grand Union. Confine myself to fishing the local club matches with Luton A.C;(they have a website) mainly to keep travelling costs to a minimum, but used to travel all over; Thames, Great Ouse etc: don't know whether i'm classed as a southerner or what!? Find these matches difficult to win as the competitors are a varied lot, i.e. some are canal specialist and the draws can be somewhat chancy, so a bit of luck is involved at the drawbag; but this applies to most venues, dunnit? ...... e.g, 46lb the other week and was second! 3 carp + skimmers, and I left a lump in there; bust my 2nd section.
Everyone is welcome to come along; you need a club book tho'.

Next challenge, The New Junction: any pointers out there? private message of course.

I'm from ipswich, suffolk. I usually fish suffolk water park but I sometimes go to Alton Water reservoir. It's a very big place but if u can find the bream it's worth it. I've had them to 11lb there. There is also a chance of good sized Roach, Pike and perch. I also occasionally try the river Gipping although it has been in decline for some years now, probably due to pollution. I would certainly be interested in a get together of some sort.

Hi Fishaholic,

I live in Hawkhurst and fish Hartleylands and Monks a reasonable amount. Strange really don't get to Hawkhurst Fish Farm much even though it's only about 3 minutes from where I live
