Having had both have to say I prefer square legs, although the fact my new box has extending legs is a massive improvement.
Don't know if others have found the same but I think the preston system for seat box attachments is by far the best as it doesn't mark the legs. My old round leg box had so many marks from where the octoplus attachments had been.

I do normally prefer square legs although I like the larger diameter round legs that are on my Rive.

The Preston attachments are very good for all boxes though and mean if you buy a new box with different legs, you can still use your old stuff relatively cheaply.

i have had octoplus legs for a number of years with out a problem i now have match box square which did slip a little at first but are really sturdy..and for the tele Tubby admirers out there i ONLY weigh in at .......17 Stone 7lbs..... and yes i know i dont look it polepot dont you dare say a word

had both(on the same box actually) a brilo,must say the square system is quite a bit more stable.all i did was get in touch with the brilo peeps and ordered a square frame,clicked me top and bottom onto it,told jaws it was a new box and she offered to go half with me! bless her to bits,she aint that bright.

square for me used to have octoplus legs but they got very worn and started to bend a bit tried round but didn't feel very stable so square for me???
